Overview
The KwaDabeka Community Residential Units (CRU) Energy Efficiency and Hot Water Pilot aims to investigate energy efficiency lighting and hot water solutions as a possible intervention to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions in these buildings. The project saw a pilot installation of industrial sized solar water heaters (SWH) on one floor of the KwaDabeka CRU as well as energy efficient room, passage and flood lighting.
