Explain: The building seems new due to the painting
Description of resource: It is a big red brick building with a grey concrete front stairs. The number of address is written with golden paint looks impressive and well matched with the building. The light pole outside the building on the sidewalk was also pained in red. However some graffiti is on the stairs.
History of resource: The ornate building at 206-208 E. 9th Street was constructed in 1885 by George B. Post for James Thompson. Eleven families were to inhabit the brick and terracotta five-story building. In 1955, smoke control and plumbing mechanical equipment were installed.
