Savor Gourmet is a specialty foods and table top store that offers visitors an old-world, vintage feel upon entering through the front doors of the store. Savor features an extensive product list offering an all-embracing selection of hand-picked table toppers, hard-to-find gourmet food products, prepared lunches and dinners, artisanal cheeses and home furnishings from around the world. Located in the heart of Buckhead, Savor brings a unique European vibe to the city’s retail industry.

Owners Robert and January Hodgson have a tremendous passion for gourmet foods from around the globe and elegant antiques showcasing history. This passion grew into a business when they opened the first location of Savor in 2004. The Hodgsons wanted to bring Atlanta what they personally sought – a gourmet food store with shelves filled with fine tastes from around the world and a passionate, knowledgeable staff. Their dreams came to fruition once again, when they expanded Savor and moved the store to a larger, more functional space in the Peachtree Battle Shopping Center in August 2008.

“We wanted to share products from around the world that we loved so much and found while traveling. Savor is our personality, it is everything that we love and we built the store around the concept of great food,” said January.

Nestled in the store’s new location, Savor has a mid-nineteenth century ambience to match their old and new world flair. Traveling is a beloved pastime for the Hodgsons, and it’s apparent in the unique antique pieces that show their eclectic style. Vintage heart pine hardwood floors from an old tobacco warehouse in Northwest Florida and the cozy stacked stone fireplace set the tone for classic elegance at Savor. Maps of the world, vintage French magazine covers and a collection of art for sale adorn the walls, giving visiting eyes plenty to take in. Custom-built copper tables fill the shop, making lunch a pleasant and traditional spot to enjoy a gourmet sandwich or salad, and, can also be purchased on a made-to-order basis. Savor offers indoor seating for up to 50 guests and seats 12 comfortably on the patio. The distinctive style of Savor creates a casual European ambience, allowing customers to feel as if they’ve traveled across the oceans when visiting the store.

Savor offers a hefty variety of products including artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, gourmet blends of coffee, a collection of vinegars and olive oils from around the world, chocolates, spices, table top linens from France, home accents, cookware and dishware. Each product sold at Savor is carefully selected and tasted by Savor’s educated staff and chosen from over 500 different fine food purveyors.
