Manhattan. Highest point on eastern seaboard between Maine and Florida (266 feet above sea level). 2 slat-roofed pavilions; benches,5 coin-operated telescopic viewers, display panels explain landmarks from Mt, Mitchill, coastal habitat and littoral drift, slump block geology. Bike rack. Parking for 42 vehicles. Port-a-john. Flag poles. Inland, well-shaded area contains swings, jungle gym, picnic tables, and several short walking trails. Open 8 am to dusk.
