Table Mound Elementary School - Green Vision Award

Overview

The Green Vision Education Program recognizes schools that practice pollution prevention, recycling, energy efficiency and waste reduction. Green Vision Schools receive a Green Vision Education flag to hang outside and a banner to display inside the building.

Table Mound Elementary School received their initial award in 2007, Conservation Award in 2008, and Durrant award in 2009. The addition to the school building included geothermal heating system. The school grounds also have secured bike parking.

This program is administered through the The Solid Waste Education Office, a partnership between DMASWA, Loras College, and the Dubuque Environmental Task Force. http://www.dmaswa.org/services_education.cfm
