Alfred Park is an 8ha nature reserve comprising swamp forest and grasslands. The small wetlands are home to a number of interesting fauna and flora species, such as the Argus
Reed Frog, and a pair of breeding Woollynecked Storks and Black Sparrowhawks.

Driving Directions: Take the M13 west from Durban to Pinetown. Take the Pinetown off-ramp and turn right into St. Johns Avenue. Travel on St. Johns Avenue through central Pinetown and turn left into
Qashana Khuzwayo Road (Shepstone Road). Travel along Qashana Khuzwayo Road, turning left into Regent Street at traffic lights. Turn left into East Street at T-junction. Turn right into Regal Street, which then becomes Harborth Road. Travel on Harboth Road, which becomes Park Road. At T-Junction turn left into Daphne
Neale Drive, the park is at the end of the road.
