十八窟剩一窟
概览
「北庄魚池十八堀，有魚有肉家治囫(ㄏㄨ) 」北庄入墾移民因土地,水利糾紛,閩粵械鬥,落腳北庄的客家人為防水源被截斷,乃在北庄路一代,開闢十八個池塘,供儲水養魚之用,並將挖起的土方,作成土角厝的建材,(註3)客家人勤儉硬頸的精神表露無遺;但北庄十八堀現今只剩一堀,成為二百多年前先民開庄篳路藍縷的見證.
