Overview
This garden was built and is monitored by the UIEC (University of Iowa Environmental Coalition) a student organization composed of diverse young minds working together to reduce energy use, waste, pollution, and environmental negligence on campus and in our community. Our garden is nestled on a 1/3 acre plot on the far west campus near the Hawklots and community garden used by University Apartment residents. Although we are not certified organic we grow our delicious produce without pesticides, herbicides and artificial fertilizers. We are currently in collaboration with the University of Iowa Food Services, we sell our produce to Iowa Memorial Union for use in the River Room and IMU Catering.
