Overview
44% of the JEA vehicle fleet is capable of using alternative fuels such as biodiesel & ethanol. As a result of these efforts, JEA was recently ranked in the top 100 of U.S. fleets utilizing alternative fuels by Automotive Fleet Magazine.
JEA has been using biodiesel (a renewable fuel) since Spring 2001. It expanded to E85 fuel in 2004, and E10 in 2007.
