Clagett Farm is a privately run farm in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, that is committed to improving and promoting local, green agriculture. The farm operates a seasonal CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), which members can support financially in exchange for a share of the harvest. The CSA sells a wide variety of organically grown vegetables, and grass-fed, antibiotic and hormone-free beef is also for sale during the spring and fall months. In cooperation with Capital Area Food Bank, Clagett Farm also works to make their fresh produce available to local citizens living at or near poverty through a program called "From the Ground Up". The farm is an excellent resource for environmental education and has many volunteer opportunities. It promotes aspects of sustainable living through its organic, local, and economically efficient food production, as well as its contributions to social justice and welfare.
