Ryerson Woods is a natural woodland located in the southern tip of Iowa City. It's most prominent features are its spring blooms of native vegetation. It is one of the only natural woodland forest compared to the various savanna forests common in Iowa City. Early spring is the best time to visit to view the blooming of natural species. There are many trails to view the forests and scenic view on top of bluffs.
