About Greenmap Cascais, Portugal

This project was based on a previous study, where points of geotouristic interest were identified and classified along a 9 Km pedestrian/bicycle track, which runs along the seaside between the Cascais marina and the Guincho Beach. Though widely studied by the scientific community, these sites haven’t yet been publicized as geotouristic attractions amongst cyclists or walkers, who use the track. Our aim is to share this information with a wider public and the local community through this Green Map. As the project evolves, we want to engage other stakeholders in this project, such as the City Hall, who has built the track, and local walking and cycling groups. Other green-spots will be added as we go along!
